Young Artist Studios

Since the year 2000, Young Artist Studio has been New York's and Manhattan's  premiere art studio offering kids art classes.  Our kids art classes have an emphasis on drawing and painting for children of ages 7 through 15. The children's art classes are held in an intimate and friendly atmosphere where our child artists can develop their artistic skills at their own pace, while being taught individually; taking into account personal interests and needs. The art classes allow the children to learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting that will help in their exploration of the world of art while in a fun and constructive atmosphere. The focus of the children’s art classes is to provide education and training in traditions, principles, and skills of drawing and painting and a foundation for one’s future development as a fine artist. Each young artist is provided with a foundation to enable him or her to find his or her own style with confidence.

Additionally, the kids art classes will enable the young artists to explore shape, line, color, value, composition, and space through drawing and painting media which includes pencil, charcoal, color pencil, pastel, and oil paint. Tracing is not allowed in the program. The children's art classes are taught personally by Leila.  Each child is guided individually through each step of the art program. Leila is a professional artist with over twenty years of experience and a veteran student of the National Academy of Design and the Art Student League of New York.

The priority in all the children's art classes is to inspire and awaken student artistic passion in an accepting environment where everyone can feel successful with their effort while having fun and appreciating both the product and the process of making art.
