| About The Artist |

Leila Yassami has been an artist for over twenty years. She started drawing since the age of twelve. She is a graduate of the National Academy of Design in Manhattan, and has studied many years at the Art Student League of New York. She has had the opportunity to work under the direction of several reputable artists including James Childs, Peter Cox, and Nelson Shanks. As a member of the National Arts Club and the Portrait Society of America, her interest is mainly in the classical and impressionist styles - see Artist's Works. Several years ago she decided to pass on her experience to the younger generation thru her private art classes in drawing and painting, and it has been a joyful and fulfilling experience ever since. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Manhattan; including the Cork gallery at Lincoln center, New York, NY, the National Academy Museum, School of Arts ,New York, NY, and the Art Student league, New York, NY. |
